[At some time when Marco is away from Japan. Hunting or flying or who knows what he's doing, ANYWAY THE POINT IS. At that point, Japan will think on it for a moment, and then send Marco a video message.

It's him singing this song because he is so gullible and so determined yes.]

[Answers immediately thinking it's an emergency and then at first he's just confused.]

[AND THEN REALLY BRIGHT RED.]

[Is the chorus true? IS THIS A REALLY GOOD PRANK!? Does he mean it anyway? IS THIS HIS SURPRISE? SO MUCH RED!]

[Tries to say something but SO MUCH BLUSHING. Screw it, he's never going to be a blue phoenix again.]

[NO WAIT. But this must be really good revenge! ALSO! He lost his voice again.]

[Trying to talk and all that comes is mumbled bird chirps about... who knows what.]

[All of those, for some reason, were shouted in horrible engrish.]

[Then he calms himself down to a smile and makes a heart at the screen, even though he can't be seen anymore.]

Marco can be quite cute... I see. So that sort of surprise is possible. But, ah... let me see... [singing again, a little quickly:] And I mean it from the bottom of my heart~

Ah, I cannot say my true thoughts so bluntly, but surely Marco knows me well enough...

[First Marco's eyes widen.]

[Then you know all those times the Holy Roman Empire just does epic flailing into his pillows? IT IS LIKE THAT. Only with a phoenix rolling around in the grass. Very attractive :\]

Marco started it. He told Japan he loved him ages ago. AT THE TIME he might have meant it quite easily because as friends or bros, and since then he dragged Japan out for a subway kiss of near-death, but THIS IS FINE. It is under control. He can totally handle this. It is not like no one has ever sang him a love confession before. OKAY NO ONE HAS. But still. He can do this. Back into the comm, still bright red.]

[Japan lowered his hands and smiled a bit more softly than before. Essentially, this was just a joke. A surprise. He had to try very hard to keep it at that level with the others he spoke about it with, though. Because... it wasn't just at that level, was it?

But that would be troubling to admit. Maybe he should ease down on it...]

Ah... I will continue waiting for your return, then.

[...Well. That was kind of better. Maybe. ...He tried. Anyway he bows his head a bit and hangs up.]

[RIGHT. Totally a joke. He knows that. Maybe. After Japan hangs up, Marco just laughs softly to himself. Maybe he's really rubbing off too much after all.]

{At first he can't help but to laugh at all of this, the song is just... so ridiculously shitty and man Marco is just turning a bunch of shades of red he's never seen before.

Huh, I don't know, maybe I should bow out and admit defeat. I don't know if I can top this one.

Ace. [Oh he must be serious. Using his name. He's relieved Ace is laughing but he can't figure out how serious Ace is and that's part of what is driving him nuts. How can he delicately ask?]
