[Ace sighs.] My time there... it's going to run out eventually. I wish it wouldn't, but it will. [He immediately hugs him back, though he keeps his gaze to the ground.] Okay, I'll admit it. I am scared. This would be a really big step in my life, and I'm not even sure I'd be ready for any of it. I've barely even thought about settling down in my entire life.

You're doing our job right. I'm really, really happy to see you everyday, all right? I promise I'm happy.

Everyone's time runs out eventually. That doesn't make everything up to then any less worthwhile.

[Head nudge.] I believe you. And I'm not saying rush into anything, just don't give up. [That's the part that scares Marco. So he switches into phoenix form and gives Ace a better hug.]

I know, I know. But... if I leave, that's it. I'm gone.

[He strongly shakes his head.] I promise, I'm never going to give up. Ever.

Only as much as everyone else.

People who weren't even dead here, it's the same thing. If they go it might be forever, or it might not. Some people get brought back, no matter what the circumstances back home.
