[She watches him fly down, all bright and beautiful and warms from the inside before he even steals a kiss.]

And you are as pathetic as ever. Did you steal that from a book or just make it up?

[But she'll wrap her arms around his neck and give him a deep kiss in return]

Hey now, all my pathetic lines I make up myself, yoi. The good ones are the ones I get from books. [Gently nuzzles back affectionately.]

[That creeper face. You had to go there.]

Hmm. Read more.

[And she pats his cheek and takes his hand, pulling him up from the fountain. She wants to walk, after all. It's too cold just to sit in one place.]

How have you been?

[Of course!]

[He cheerfully runs along with her though he switches from holding her hand to wrapping the arm around her shoulder. He promised to keep her warm after all.] Sleepy, you? Mah, being on a rotating weather system does strange things to my avian side. Shorter daylight hours and cloudy snow, it all conspires to make me sleepy. Which makes it even harder to keep track of days of the week. [So you know, if you haven't seen him recently, that'd be why.] Spring is going to be something else... [He really does sound a little nervous about it.]

Poor little bluebird. [She moves close to his side and slips a hand into his pocket]

Perhaps you'll find a warm place to sleep tonight. [She has a few ideas for that, too. Though she can't help but notice the tantalizing nervousness in his voice]

[He sucks in a sharp breath of air and breathes in her scent happily. Flowers, coffee, and just Robin herself.]

I'd appreciate that~ [Grins deviously.]

[And slowly nods.] Mah... Spring islands alone can have an effect on me... Spring here is going to be... [His cheeks start to get faintly pink and he tries to give a discreet cough.] You know how most birds get in Spring, eh? [He leans his head near her.] It'll be fine. [But that sounds vaguely like he's trying to convince himself more than her.]

I don't believe I do. Tell me, Marcchan.

[Though she already has a good idea. She still remembers the video she saw of a happy phoenix in a field of flowers. Not to mention certain birds and nesting habits. It could be she just likes to make Marco squirm]

[Affectionately nuzzles her ear and starts kissing his way down her neck.]

Let's just say it's far more intoxicating than any amount of alcohol could ever do to me.

[Oh ho. Clever bird. She shifts her head a little to let him have his way because it's warm.]

I'll hold you to it.

[Then she shifts away a bit]

Before we get too involved, however, I do have a question for you.

Ah, aye sorry.

[Pulls back so that he's still walking with her and has his arm around her shoulders, just being less distracting.] Told you you were distracting. What's on your mind love?

No worries. [She kisses his cheek]

Tell me. Do you know a girl named Perona?

[He stills very warily at that.]

I do. [His eyes narrow.] Why? What have you heard? I swear if she's trying to get to me through you I'll not hold back. [Slightly violent growl.... for, you know, a bird.]

[His reaction is not something she had anticipated and it doesn't particularly fill her with confidence about the nature of this woman.]

Nothing. I just want to know about her for something private.

[She cocks her head]

Why? What's there to hear?

[Slight frown.] We don't get along great. Moria wanted to steal Little Oars Jr. for his zombie collection and I take that a little personally.

Not that I've held it against Perona, but I'm hardly as kind about the death of her captain as I should be.

[Rubs the back of his neck.] And my attempts to tick off Mihawk rankle her.

What do you wish to know?

[So it is more of a personal thing. Not that it makes anything eaiser to know this]

I enjoy tweaking his nose, too.

[There is just something about poking the stern shichibukai that she can't resist. She snuggles her hand in Marco's pocket again]

Anything and everything. I need to find a way to spy on her as well, though that might be easier said than done.

[Because if she can discover Perona's intentions, she'll rest much easier]

Heh... [He grins and leans in towards Robin a little more.] Tweak away, eh.

She's easily flustered with a few buttons. [Holds up a couple of fingers.] Getting hit on by old men, Moria and her former crew, and now Mihawk. She likes cute things, including Sabo, and she likes ghosts and undead and your typical Halloween things.

As far as pirates go, she's not too bad. More annoying than anything else really. She has her moments. She used to be a lot more childish, but she's matured a great deal under Mihawk's eye. That, or she's just far more easily cowed. [He thinks about it and shakes his head.] No, she's definitely matured.

[Robin nods, though the information is useful, it is not quite useful enough. Maturing is good, but how has she matured and in what ways? How will she act in a relationship? What does she really want? Does she even have an agenda?]

Do you know of any friends she has here? [Sabo would be a good person to ask, but she hasn't seen him in a long time. Otherwise, perhaps she can get secondhand information from them and see just what kind of person Perona is]

Sabo, Mihawk, and I'm not sure. I don't really read the journals much except to find people.

What are you looking for, love? [If Robin asks the questions in her head, he could probably answer at least some of them decently.]

[Well Mihawk will certainly not help. She sighs a little and glances over at him, regarding the question]

I can't answer that. It's nothing for you to worry about but it's... a confidential matter.

[Anyway she can't figure out how to phrase the question without things becoming too leading]

I suppose there's really no help for it unless something does happen.

[Though she'd really rather be preventative]

Anything I can do to help?

[Uncertainly gives her a look. He certainly won't pry, but the least he can do is offer his best.]

[Nothing she can think of but...]

Just let me know if you notice anything unusual. [She's glad he doesn't pry. It's one of the things she--she likes about him.]

But forget about it for now. What shall we do, Marcchan? You have a lot of lost time to make up for.

[Grins~] So I have. And I believe I promised to teach you how to ski, though night is a bad time for it. Is there anything you're interested in? I seem to want nothing more than to try various tea blends, convince you to talk to me about books, and romance you so well that no other guy could ever be worth the bother.

Hmm. Surprise me... [she truly doesn't care what they do so long as it's with him. It's still strange to feel that way sometimes.]

And it isn't as if you have competition, Marcchan. [Although...] At least not here. Not unless a certain Shichibukai makes a bold move.

[But she's teasing you.]

[Folds his arms.] There is no way that man is a better dancer than me.

[Kisses sweetly.] Besides he's a jerk, and I love you.

Hmmm. I suppose you'll have to do, then. [She kisses him back and looks away. When she does speak again it'll be soft]

After all, I couldn't really be with someone I didn't... love...
