Pops found me on Pineapple Island when he caused an earthquake. I was very mad so I kicked him in head.... [Guilty face.] Okay... I didn't really succeed. But I tried! Valiantly! And I told him to get off my island! [Puffs up birdie chest, just switching back and forth between his forms with wild abandon.] And then he said he'd adopt me.

Which sounded dumb at the time. But it was cool. And now I am glad he did.
