People always fear that which is different. Grotesque or beautiful is such a matter of opinion that I can't imagine that it doesn't differ from one person to another.
I like roses with thorns, but I'm sure many don't prefer that.
People who think my father or Little Oars Jr. are grotesque are missing out. My family are all outcasts and I love them for it. The rest of the world may hate them, but those who don't know them better are the ones losing for it. That is why the word monster never bothered me. I can't change how the world sees them, but I can embrace them and how they are seen to show them it isn't so bad at least.
Now though, I'm not as sure. Those I would consider grotesque, like Kaidou and Blackbeard have almost no good qualities so far as I'm concerned. I do not wish to be on the same level as them.
