Hmm, well it's not a bird exactly, but there is a Summon Spirit in my world that looks like a two-headed bird. As for exploring though, my world has technically been completely explored--the geography changed a bit [BIGGEST UNDERSTATEMENT ON THE PLANET] due to something that happened a while ago, but it's mostly the same.
