[Video] In which phoenixes pirates and countries alike go exploring

Did you know there's a bird of prey called a secretary bird for how ridiculous it looks? It's actually extremely dangerous though. Its legs are so powerful that rather than divebombing enemy like a falcon or eagle or strange bird pinky -- [Wait, what was that last one? Yeah screw your normal birds, One Piece has weird things as you might know from the rapahn.] -- Instead a secretary bird uses its wings for balance and kicks snakes to death. For fun since snakes are shitty prey. I always thought that was a pretty cool fighting style.

Speaking of birds of prey, can anyone tell me more about birds in their world? Or mythological ones? Phoenixes, dragons, rocs, thunderbirds, anything like that, eh?

We're about 2 days out of Discedo now, and I've decided to completely map out the lake for Kiku's map program, eh. There are plenty of explorers in my world, technically the first pirate king started out that way even. But I'm wondering about everyone else's explorers. Is the world you come from all explored? Who first ventured to those far unknown reaches? Come on, I'm sure at least some of you have that adventurer's blood in your veins, eh?

Oh, and everyone in Spero, don't forget Ace is captain!

Yes... they are. Have you ever seen Ace back down from something he thought was the right thing? And he is the most reasonable of any I've met. What Teach believes is right though is... not a matter of "right." It's his dream and... [Marco's stomach knots up. He hasn't spoken to anyone this much about Teach and he still won't. He glances down at Japan though and steadies his breathing.]

Bushido... just remember what I said about Ace before, eh? Sometimes the paths we think we have to take are not the ones that will lead to what we ultimately want. Remember what you're protecting, and what you're really looking for.

[He looks to Marco as he trails off and doesn't finish.]

...Perhaps I should warn Marco that I am not sure what my reaction will be upon seeing this place. I am not sure how my health will be, either. But I will truly do my best to remember.

Blackbeard's dream is to become the next Pirate King. He chose a path through Ace and my Father. And it won't work for him because of it. Consider that.

[I don't have an icon that properly conveys the emotionally loaded gaze Japan is giving Marco right now. This is so hideously gay there should be a warning label.

He's quiet for a long time, and then nods.]

[Japan stops walking, though he's still holding Marco's hand.

[Stops when Japan does and glances back at him.]

[At that, he just moves and wraps his arms around Marco's waist in a hug. ...A really childish hug, wow he's even like staring at the ground in embarrassment.]

[Has a VERY quick blush, but he quickly recovers.]

Oh. [Hugs Japan back as best he can like this and laughs softly.]

So long as you've got faith in me, eh? I'm move mountains if you ask me to. [Ruffles Japan's hair and holds him close a little more.]

[presses face into-- o-oh you don't wear shirts this is suddenly twenty times more embarrassing... DEEP BREATHE.]

Ah... Thank you. [but calm exhale okay he will not explode in embarrassment... yet]

[Frozen for a bit. Kind of for a long time actually. A LONG TIME. And completely frozen, so no walking forward, Japan will either have to let go or stay stuck.]

[Eventually he startles himself out of it and starts walking forward with no indication that anything happened except a small smile.]

[Tried to move forward... Realized Marco wasn't... and just stops. ...Eventually turns to stare.

[Nods.] Stopping is probably for the best. Rain coming, remember? The sooner I can build you a make shift tent the better I'll feel.
