Did you know there's a bird of prey called a secretary bird for how ridiculous it looks? It's actually extremely dangerous though. Its legs are so powerful that rather than divebombing enemy like a falcon or eagle or strange bird pinky -- [Wait, what was that last one? Yeah screw your normal birds, One Piece has weird things as you might know from the rapahn.] -- Instead a secretary bird uses its wings for balance and kicks snakes to death. For fun since snakes are shitty prey. I always thought that was a pretty cool fighting style.

Speaking of birds of prey, can anyone tell me more about birds in their world? Or mythological ones? Phoenixes, dragons, rocs, thunderbirds, anything like that, eh?

We're about 2 days out of Discedo now, and I've decided to completely map out the lake for Kiku's map program, eh. There are plenty of explorers in my world, technically the first pirate king started out that way even. But I'm wondering about everyone else's explorers. Is the world you come from all explored? Who first ventured to those far unknown reaches? Come on, I'm sure at least some of you have that adventurer's blood in your veins, eh?

I need help.

Klunk's not eating. You seemed to know about chocobo from when I talked to you before and I'm worried that if this big guy doesn't start chomping soon he's not going to make it.

I... have to save this thing. I'm not sure why it's so important to me, but---look, please. Tell me what you can about these birds.

They eat grains, seeds. Usually the scientists stock the local store places with a cornmeal kind of thing for muffins or whatever. You can make a bread out of that. Or just try regular bread, though higher grain or oat content is best.

It's old enough for salad so try that too -- no dressings. Ah, that's hard around here, so try making a mash out of the canned vegetables. The babies like it the more mixed up with other types it is, variety and all. If you tried all that, they do need some protein, but you can't go big into madcow or anything like that. It has to be worms -- the kind you'd use for fishing, or well, maggots all ground up would work too.

Is he injured? What do you normally eat here anyway?

[He looks visibly relieved upon hearing the advice, committing it to memory as best as he can. The bird means a lot to him. He still doesn't know why. Something about it.]

It's a good thing I can cook. Bread, mashed veggies, worms and maggots... alright. I think I can manage that.

He's injured, yes. Right wing is a little strained and he's got several cuts that are healing into scars. He should be alright, but he hasn't been eating. I'm worried maybe it's stress.

As for me, I've been eating whatever doesn't make me ill. Just scraps here and there.

Help him make a nest, try some music -- you can ask Gakupo or Luka for songs, that should calm him down. The babies I had an advantage with so I can't tell you everything with that, but yeah, that should help.
