[He starts trailing off, obviously seeing something.] Pops...? [His voice is quiet, barely audible. It's not possible, he knows it's not, he watched the man die. So it's just like Luffy's food and an illusion. Has to be. But then it gets stronger.] POPS!! [He starts running, sandals hitting the wood of the deck.] Pops... [This time he just sounds anguished. And then suddenly there's a splash. Uh where did Marco go?]

He sounds a bit like a demi-god, or perhaps equaling someone as legendary as Elminster. What was it that made him so strong?

Elminster?

[Shrugs.] He was the world's strongest through his own right. He said protecting his family is what made him strong because he never wanted to lose anyone.

He had the power to destroy the world through his devil fruit; he could create earthquakes or tsunamis, but he was always careful... where would sons live if he destroyed it, eh?

He's most likely the most powerful Archmage in Faerun, which is a world I often frequent.

Then I must assume that being one of his sons was quite an honor.

[Have a bit of jaw dropping awe, from this doomguard who's in charge of overseeing the destruction of many worlds] By the gods... not even the arch demons, or the lords of the 9 hells, can usually cause that kind of destructive power. What kind of titan was this man?

Well, aside from the ears mate. You should come with Cube though, eh? There's enough oddities people probably won't notice and you look enough alike you could call yourselves brothers and no one would question it.

You know that's not entirely a bad idea... apart from the fact that I'm not completely adept at planar traveling with someone. Mostly, I simply jump from one place to another, so bringing Cube with me would be difficult, unless he knows some other method of reaching your world.

He does. You should ask him about it sometime. Maybe if you work together you can even fine tune it, eh?

Truly? I hadn't known that he too was a planeswalker. I would love to talk about it with him sometime, but I think he's been a little under the weather recently. If what you're saying is true though, with enough power, the two of us might be able to create a portal out of this world. I can't guarantee it though.

That's not what I'm looking for. I don't want to leave. And I don't want everyone to be forced home, eh?

That's interesting. I thought that almost everyone here had the desire to go back to wherever they came from. I personally don't really mind it much here, however, if I had known I was going on a planar journey, I may have brought a bit more equipment. If nothing else, fetching those from home may be a worthwhile reason to open a portal out of here.

Doing that just on magic alone would really drain Cube, I think, so I'd rather you didn't. He still has someone here he's look after anyway.
