[He starts trailing off, obviously seeing something.] Pops...? [His voice is quiet, barely audible. It's not possible, he knows it's not, he watched the man die. So it's just like Luffy's food and an illusion. Has to be. But then it gets stronger.] POPS!! [He starts running, sandals hitting the wood of the deck.] Pops... [This time he just sounds anguished. And then suddenly there's a splash. Uh where did Marco go?]

Within their own species. They still believe in survival of the fittest to rather extreme levels, but it helps them do better. I know it prevented a genocide at least once.

Aye. I suppose that's certainly part of it. But many believe they live on through the next generation, so it's a wonder more of them don't strive for that.

They don't see the future properly... They can barely see five years ahead it's not surprising.

Predicting the future is a hard thing. I guess it takes a great deal of wisdom.

It's impossible. All you can do is see what could happen, based off what is happened and even then... half the time you are wrong.

Aye. And that is where have difficulties, eh? Being wrong, realizing it, and changing course accordingly seems difficult for most humans.
