First order of business, the trolls don't have Halloween in their world. Thus I'm inviting any of you who would find it fun to come trick or treating. That said, I suggest everyone try to find treats for them unless you want to experience the full weight of troll tricks. Eridan, Karkat, Tavros, Sabo, Vriska, Gamzee, and anyone else under 18 who wants to go trick or treating; you need a costume. If you want ideas, ask me or ask around for suggestions.

Also these are the remaining commander drawings I promised Hong Kong a while ago.

Sakura-chan and Kiku are both Japan, but you are both persons beyond that. I would be sad to see either of you lose a lot of what makes you who you are. I'm in love with him, but I still want to work my way up with Sakura-chan and prove I can do the miracles I promised I can.

Even so, just by the fact you're trying to make up for it means you're already a better person than the majority out there. Most of the time I wonder if some people are even capable of feeling guilty in the slightest to start with.

No, it's nothing that complicated. That incident is just an important part of my past, since.. that incident consisted of my entire family dying.

... [ She's... actually kind of touched. But also oh gosh, so adorable, Marco ;o; She's not even going to start falling into shippy fangirling at his "I'm in love him" because that doesn't matter to her right now. ]

Ah, how little you think of me Chiara. Stealing is for people who can't get what they want through better means. The only pirates I steal from are idiots who try to kill my Pops or engage in slavery on his islands. I protect his islands as best as I can for the same reason he did; for the people there. The marines do nothing and there are far more villainous types than me out there.

As for keeping my crew afloat financially; I have my ways. [Money laundering, general mafia-esque behavior... why does he feel like he's trying to explain to his mother that his Pops didn't really lead him into a life of crime?]

It's not guilt, it's empathy. Until my Pops came along and Thatch and my brothers showed me a better life I was nearly as closed off as Japan was. I don't think that was wrong, just the way it was. It took me awhile to learn that there was something better out there for me.

I see. [Glances down for a moment before back up with a birdie headtilt.] You plan to avenge them?

Yeah, he's my best friend, and very friendly. You'll probably see him around. He's not as good about using his comm as the rest of us, so he usually gets his ass shocked now and then.

Ahhhh good. I should have realized Japan would be able to see beyond the words to the meaning behind them.

I think they actually get powered through use, so the shock is because they're dying. Maybe.

Yeah, they're nearby. Portugal's one of the ones who spent a lot of time in Asia. Anyway, they joined the Japanese and Chinese pirates because they could sell the goods they raided off the coast for a lot more in Japan. Mostly silk and metal. China has tons of silk and it's pretty valuable, but at the time it was hard to move it around and sell it in the country. Since not many people could make it, it was worth a lot more overseas, like in Japan.
