First order of business, the trolls don't have Halloween in their world. Thus I'm inviting any of you who would find it fun to come trick or treating. That said, I suggest everyone try to find treats for them unless you want to experience the full weight of troll tricks. Eridan, Karkat, Tavros, Sabo, Vriska, Gamzee, and anyone else under 18 who wants to go trick or treating; you need a costume. If you want ideas, ask me or ask around for suggestions.

Also these are the remaining commander drawings I promised Hong Kong a while ago.

... I was supposed to die together with everyone all that time ago, I'm sure of that. There's no other explanation. But because of some weird mistake by fate, I survived even though I should have died, I got to stay home instead of facing the incident that killed everyone who went. That's why my life has pretty much been crappy all this time.. Because it wasn't meant to be.

That's why it has no value.

Surviving doesn't mean you're not meant to be. Fate... things like that... It's what you make of it. If you believe in fate, why not believe you survived because you were meant to? In order to right the wrong of why your family was destroyed? You can't bring them back, but you can stop it from happening to anyone else.

I did get a chance to save my family, but I couldn't even accomplish that much. It's a little complicated, but.. I can't get them back for me, but I could get them back for another 'me' from a parallel world of sorts. But it seems.. in the end, even that much was impossible.

What happened?

It's a long story. Suffice to say I thought I got a chance to interfere in a roundabout way with the past events to get my family back, but it turned out in the end I was just meant to be a sacrifice all along.

Sacrifice for what?

My older brother. If it wasn't for my sacrifice, he wouldn't have been able to fight on to get our family back.

So in one world if you die, your family lives, but otherwise they die and you live?

Well, the first scenario would be that my family might live and be reunited with another me from twelve years ago whose family never died.. like a parallel world of sorts. But 'this' me would die, the eighteen year old me whose family never returned.

So no matter which way, 'I' won't get to see my family again. Maybe another me, but..

I see. Hard choice.

It wasn't that hard for me, considering I didn't want to live on without my family either way. At least my death as useful like that.

Understood.

Dying can't be pleasant, but somehow living on left behind those that fall seems harder. Or maybe that's just me.
