He swore up a storm. I think he was swearing in another language, too. About five seconds later, he started crying. He really needed drinks, so we met up at the bar. I told him you treat her like a queen. He got pissed and said you'd better. He asked if I thought she was happy with you, and I said I think she is.

And then he started crying again. [And then they talked about serious things, but that's for another day.]

I want him to think I'm good enough for her, without just trusting her opinion of me.

I'm not good enough for her, but I want him to see that I'll be the best and better than anyone else could because I'll give it my all.

But it's like he already knows me as your nakama, Sabo's big brother, so adding "Robin's boyfriend" to it seems like one more thing he knows me through with an intermediary rather than knowing me. And I know you're going to say he's not the type to trust anything but his own opinion, but that just means maybe he'll really think I'm not good enough for his nakama. And I don't know how to show I am. To prove it.
