[Hark! It's the roar of an angry phoenix in pirate form.]

MY SHAMPOO?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Oh god it's even in my feathers! MY FEATHERS ACE!!! AHHH WHY'D YOU HAVE TO PICK RED?! Even raven black would have been better! I look like I hero-worship Shanks now! I swear when I find you Ace!

[For anyone getting a good look in the journal, Marco's hair has been badly dyed red, oh yeah and he looks every bit as ticked off as he sounds. Later on however, he'll be sporting a fedora to cover up that Akagami-wannabe look, and looking for hair dye remover. Or bleach. Or as a last resort, black hair dye. Anything's better than red with him. He will also be putting up posters: "Ever want to be a pirate? Join the Whitebeards! Limited time offer" though more on that later. And even more than that, a certain usually very blue bird will have a slightly red and purple tinge to his feathers for a little while. So not pleased. Still, he'll be around to help out any New Feathers or someone needing directions to town. And if anything, he arguably looks more like a traditional phoenix. Not that he wants that.]

[Later on that night when he stops trying to beat Ace to a pulp there will be a second very short post.]

Does anyone have hair dye remover, bleach, or something in black? I couldn't find any in the shop. Thanks, eh.

...Fedora? [Norma's not good at all with the names of things, but if it looks good, she can mix and match real well. Regardless, she shrugs it off and heads to the front of the house to get her shoes on and meet up with the poor guy.]

Whatever, I'm on my way, I'll meet you outside in a few minutes. Hop out before I get there, so I can see this in person. [Hurhur, but Norma will indeed be over to to community building in just a few minutes, like she said. Ah, the joys of living so close by her closest friends...]

[Deadpan despite the whining words and he heads out, flying over there. Enjoy the red/purple demon bird from hell look.] Yo.

[Oh, darn, she's been found out. Norma grins wide into her journal, then shuts it once she hears the flapping of wings overheard. ...And spots the hellish red fowl.]

[Lands and gives her a look.] Oi. [Arches eyebrow.]

Che... Robin called me a murdered pineapple. [Fingers through the red hair and shudders.] This is why I need a hat.

[PFFFT--that's a great way to make Norma crack up, but aww...he looks so sad.]

Aww...poor baby! C'mere, you. [Hug!] It's not all that bad, even if you kinda do look like a murdered pineapple. Though I myself was thinking more along the lines of a cat raiding a squirrel nest.

[Mentally sobs.] The sooner the better... Maybe I should just be glad none of Pops' nurses were here to see... though Robin is bad enough.

Well, when you put it that way, of course it sounds worse! Jeez... [She grabs at Marco's arm, and proceeds to drag him along behind her, as is the usual Norma Beatty fashion of shopping with a poor, helpless bystander. Though she does slow down a little and give Marco a very suspicious look, over her shoulder as they walk.]

And...who exactly is this Robin person? Another sister or something? You've got a billion, so it's kiiinda hard to keep track...

What? No. Robin's sort of my girlfriend.

Ace is the only sibling from home I have in Luceti. [Dragged along! This is almost more like Izou than Haruta, but he's not complaining.]

Robin's from the Straw Hat Crew. She's an archaeologist.

[HAHA--sorry, Norma stopped paying attention after she heard the word "girlfriend". The silence that lingers belies the cranking of the gears in her head, the devilish schemes she begins to plot, and she serpentine smile that slithers its way onto her lips. Man, you should have just lied.]

Girlfriend? [Ohoho.] Is she an actual human being or should I prepare a nest? I'll line it with bows and ribbons just for you both.

[Lightly whacks her with a wing. See this? This is why he can't stop seeing her as Haruta. He even said he missed having Izou's help with this, but on the bright side, Haruta wasn't there to dick with him. Good thing he waited until after the first date to tell her about it.]

As much as I appreciate the offer, [No he doesn't] she's a real human, not an actual bird robin.

I prefer to be the only bird in the relationship, thank you.

[HAHAA--ow. Norma holds her head and keeps on grinning, skipping ahead of him a few paces so she can make fun of him without risking another head injury. One too many in the past few weeks, y'know. But Norma's still going to tease, because this is a great opportunity, and it'll pass the time until they get to the store and have Marco think about other things beside how horrible he looks.]

Okay...but if either one of you lays an egg at any point, I wanna be there to see it. Or you sitting on it, Turtledove. [HAHAHA DANCING AWAY BEFORE HE GETS HER~ Enjoy the newest nickname, featherhead.]

[OHGOD. Yeah, Norma's not sticking around to let Marco beat her up, Norma's going to make the most hilarious "oh, shit" face and scramble to get out of his way.]

Whoa, jeez--hey! C'mon, it was just a joke! If you really kick me, you're gonna snap me in half! I'll come back and haunt you!

[Sufficiently pleased that he scared her, he stops and gestures a thumb to get in the shop, stroking his chin in thought.]

You would be pretty scary as a ghost, eh.

[You are the worst human being to have ever been born, Marco. And Norma's going to stomp her foot and stick out her tongue, blowing a raspberry in your direction.]

Yeah, and I'd drink your icy cold chicken blood! Cockatrice! [She dashes into the shop not a moment too soon. Man, Norma will hide between the aisles of clothes if she has to.]

God, this is the worst hair color ever. Everyone keeps saying such morbid things today.

[Poor Marco, you're going to get the cold shoulder for as long as Norma can last (which isn't long at all, but shut up). And instead, she throws a hat at him from where she was in the store. Think fast!

But after that, she's actually looking for some other things, like maybe a hoody he could wear instead of just a hat, and some things for herself, too - like a cute, ruffly top she holds to her chest and looks at with a thoughtful hum.]

[Grabs it and puts it on, also snagging sunglasses and trying to show off for Norma. He will make her laugh yet.]

[Ooh...close, but no cigar. The most Norma managed was a twitch of her lips into a tiny smirk - THIS IS HARD, OKAY - before she frowns again, and puts a hand on her hip. Nope, still not speaking to you, try harder.]

[Once he's sure he's caught her eye though, he switches into a phoenix, making sure not to covert the hat and sunglasses into his feathers and gives a purposely flustered birdie squawk. Then just struts around like he owns the place.]

[Okay, that does it. Norma snorts before breaking into a fit of laughter as she watches. My god, he's such a ham...Ace wasn't kidding.]

Moron... [She's going to pluck the hat off his head and drop it on her own, after removing her pompom. Tilting it down a little, Norma poses and sticks out her tongue. It's probably bad how good she looks in that hat.] Think it suits me? Never been one for hats, really...

[Even though she tries to steal Ace's all the time. That's different.]

[Flits up to her shoulders and gently perches there.]

It's good, but the pompom is better.

Y'think so? [Norma hums, then removes the hat to look at in her hands, then puts it back on Marco's.] I guess...but it's not fair that you and Hotshot get cool hats and I don't. But this does actually look really good on you. We should find something that goes with it. And maybe something for me so we can match!

[If you gotta suffer, she'll at least join you.]

Well, if I find a plum-purple shirt and a scarf to wear around my hips, then we'd really match. Dunno if I could pull off the open shirt thing, though. [She grins, and removes a vest - oooh, pinstripe! - that she holds up to her chest.] Ooor I could go with the traditional pegleg and eye-patch.

All I'd need is a map.
