My littlest brother's been taken by the Malnosso, so if anyone's still looking for New Feathers, keep an eye out for Sabo too please. Hopefully he'll be returned soon.

It got me thinking though, about a poem I found by John Donne.

For Whom the Bell Tolls

The smartest woman I've ever known said once that we're all connected here. Friends, allies, or enemies, we do all have in common that we're trapped in this enclosure together, for better or worse. It's something to think about I guess.

It's nice having a lot of books from other worlds to read, eh. Does anyone else have a favorite poem they'd like to share?

I have a favor to ask of all the cooks in the village. Or rather, of any of the cooks in the village, or anyone interested. Ace isn't alone in having a rough time here lately, so I'd like to do something to help cheer him and the others up. Sometime before Christmas if we could all throw a feast and come together, I think it'd be good for everyone, eh? We could have cooking contests for amateurs or try new recipes or anything. [He freezes at the touch to his tail. It's extremely sensitive, and what he uses to guide him, so it's like giving her complete control of his direction. Still, it's nice, so he just calms down with it.]

Maybe I'll make it look blue and flaming. It has to match, ne? [and she presses a kiss to his cheek.

[Shakes his head and leans in a little closer to her.] Ah, no... it's just very sensitive, eh? [He suppresses a shiver.] It's a little hard to explain...

[Blushing a little, yup, it's very sensitive indeed.]

[Lets out a very careful small trill of pleasure at that.]

Like a cross between the wind itself taking a very solid grasp and trying to tell me where to go and something immeasurably.... [The blush doesn't fade, even as he tries to distract her nearly poetic words.] Ah... it's exhilarating. And it should be alarming. I guess you grab a bull by the horns, and a bird by the tail?

[He shivers, giving off that he truly trusts her more than he means to. Though whether it's more than he means to trust her, or more than he means to let her know...] It could hurt, but right now it feels closer to sex. Which is... confusing.

[Like she's physically grabbed a hold of the rudder of a ship to direct it as she pleases. But that's the kind of woman she is.]

Is that so? [she trails her fingers along the plumage, gathering more feathers and laying claim to them in her own way]

You should be careful who you tell that to. An unscrupulous woman might use that to her advantage.

Though I'm not entirely sure why it's confusing. Don't birds often use plumage to attract [And she leans over and whistles the word into Marco's ear]

[Sucks in a deep double lungful of air and holds onto it. Right now he barely feels like he can breathe and it's taking far more effort and concentration than it should just to not start chirping and trying to romance her.]

[He leans his head back closer to Robin's, inching even more into contact with the woman, even though there isn't really that much space in between them to begin with.]

All the time~ [He whistles it at first, gulps, takes another breath and echoes it as human, somehow just barely managing to keep his voice even and deadpan.] All the time, but I never have.

And what might an unscrupulous woman do with such knowledge, eh? [There's a low fire burning blue in the back of his eyes, a mischievous glint that says not only does he want to know the answer, he hopes it's something deliciously dirty.]

[He is so easy sometimes. It really isn't fair. Too bad she enjoys it so much.]

You should. I might enjoy it. [As for what an unscrupulous woman would do. She smirks and tugs at his tail lightly and sweeps her other hand around his neck to pull him closer]
