4th Wall Break Time!

[Wow, this is a lot of people. Marco gives up fighting his way through the crowd and just switches to hovering. Don't mind the half phoenix, half man above you, okay? He's relatively tame...ish. After flitting about for a little though, he gets tired of trying to spot everyone through the crowd.]

[He gives a sharp piercing whistle and yells out loudly:]

MARCO!

[One might wonder why he's calling his own name, but he's trying to see who will call back Polo. For science! Or you know, so he knows who will be interesting to go fly down to.]

[And later on, he'll be playing hopscotch, and that night he'll be hanging out on the roof of CH3 drinking and saying a toast to his father's memorial. Anyone care to join him?]

I'll have to stop you!

[Though really this has the potential to get slightly out of hand. Regardless he will take her seriously!]

I'm not here to play your games, Whitebeard.

[She marches closer to him and holds out a clipboard]

I need you to sign and initial this. And don't forget to date it.

[People always forget to date things. It's as if the "date" isn't in bold and underlined.]

Do I appear to be joking?

[She'll thrust the clipboard at you. Look, there's even a pen tied to a string that is on it which she'll thank you not to steal]

If you go quietly it will be easier on you.

A Whitebeard is a pirate just like any other. Not even you can escape justice forever.

[Though she's not sure what he means about the Akainu comment but that' irrelevant.]

If you don't cooperate I'll be forced to take drastic measures.

[This man is kind of incredible and Tashigi knows she's in way over her head. She hadn't really expected him to go along with it. Just to get a sort of census to see what pirates were there and their relative level of danger and this one--this man-- it's sending ice down her back just the tone of his voice.

She doesn't know what he's talking about still. What does he have to do with Marineford? What is he planning? She wants to be strong enough to know. She wants to be strong enough to wrest it out of him and save countless lives.]

You m-may be strong [Her voice is faint but she throws back her shoulders and lifts her head. Even if she can't fight him, she can at least speak] You may be strong. You may have a thousand men. But even Whitebeard will fall one day. Justice will pr-prevail!

[and she won't run. She won't. Even if she is trembling so much the clipboard clatters to the ground. She just clenches her fists and holds her ground]

I don't know what you're playing at and I'm not a fool. If Whitebeard had died the entire world would know. Impel Down is impregnable.

But you can say anything you like, pirate. If Whitebeard died, that would be justice. The world would operate fine if pirates obeyed the law. But they don't and that is why chaos happens. So if any of that comes to pass it will be on your head, not ours.

[There is a myriad of reasons why he could be doing it--but she has a feeling he's just saying things like that to mess with her head and to make the Whitebeard pirates seem more dangerous than they already are. She doesn't even bother to look at the flag because it will succumb to justice just like everything will. And even if he is strong, Admiral Akainu is that much stronger]

Your refusal has been noted. [she picks up the clipboard and walks away. She won't run. Even if it's the only thing she can do. She won't run.]
