4th Wall Break Time!

[Wow, this is a lot of people. Marco gives up fighting his way through the crowd and just switches to hovering. Don't mind the half phoenix, half man above you, okay? He's relatively tame...ish. After flitting about for a little though, he gets tired of trying to spot everyone through the crowd.]

[He gives a sharp piercing whistle and yells out loudly:]

MARCO!

[One might wonder why he's calling his own name, but he's trying to see who will call back Polo. For science! Or you know, so he knows who will be interesting to go fly down to.]

[And later on, he'll be playing hopscotch, and that night he'll be hanging out on the roof of CH3 drinking and saying a toast to his father's memorial. Anyone care to join him?]

If he's playing gay chicken, you have to come on even stronger than him with flirting. That or not back down if he flirts.

Well, I have no idea why he'd go after Sanji for it. Other than the challenge? Except Sanji wouldn't flirt back at all so I'm not sure. I don't think I get how he's playing it.

Does he actually like Sanji? [Poor Ace, that seems like a recipe for disaster, but Marco's Luceti Ace is straight so...]

Hell if I know what he likes. If it's a game, maybe not? But if he does like Sanji... Somehow I'm gonna have to stop a murder. [He doesn't even want to think about it] If that's the case I wonder if it would be easier.... [ah. He doesn't want to say it. If he says it he'll have to make it happen and that-- that would be both easier and complicated]

[Waves a hand back and forth.] I don't think he likes him that much. The Ace here is straight. And gets along best with Sanji for people in your crew. He's probably just messing around.

[And Marco sideglances away again.] I don't think Ace usually just arbitrarily starts flirting with guys unless he wants something from them. How did this all start anyway?

I...sort of accidentally...agreed to a flirting competition.

[And Marco face palms hard.] I'm so sorry. If there is a cure to that, I haven't found it yet.

Well take responsibility for what you start, I guess.

[And who knows. Maybe he might just win a round or four. Though that Portgas has a hell of a comeback swing]

We never should have let him near Thatch. He thought he could use Ace's freckles and charm as some sort of cute little brother angle to help him pick up chicks. It spread.

Like wildfire, I bet. [Bright, loud, and will burn everything in its path if it stays long enough. Still, Zoro is not afraid of fire or anything else for that matter and he doesn't mind being singed. He might--now that he's more used to the idea, seem a little fond. gdit Ace]

Yeah, well, he grows on you, I'll say that much.

[He rubs the back of his head and looks steadily away. He's the kind of guy who keeps certain muns up until 5am if not later changing in front of Zoro's eyes--or maybe he's just learning more about him? Either way, knowing what he feels about him exactly is hard to pin down.]

That he does. Like algae. You can't get rid of him but before you know it, you're not sure if you can even bring yourself to mind.

[and then he pauses]

You're not trying to insinuate something weird, are you?

Nope, just saying he literally grows on you. Good luck getting detached, I'm fairly sure it can't be done.

No point in trying to detach someone like that. [and anyway, Zoro has a feeling that Ace will leave when he's ready and there's only one of them who will be missing anything]
