[All right, this is not easy. Marco's a nervous wreck, so he goes pacing, and to find Chun-Li... who isn't home. After a few calls to her journal and looking around, he realizes she's gone home. Again. He greets the morning up on the roof of CH3, smokes a cigarette, and with the Whitebeard flag flying behind him, that's where he is when he makes a post.]

For those who knew her, Chun-Li's gone home. Luceti's lost a great teacher, but I know back in Hong Kong she'll teach kids how to fight and help police up her world. Say a prayer, light a candle, toll a bell, whatever your tradition is.

I have letters from her for Tenten, Spencer, Punzy, Lupin, and Robin. And one for the marine if you could take that to him Ikki?

For the rest of Luceti, I guess I have a question for you, though I guess I should explain with a story first. The first time Chun-Li left, it made me a lot braver. I realized I couldn't take my time for things I wanted. Here, and in my world, everything is fleeting. I'm the type who's not great at taking chances. My Pops and my brothers are great at it. But I always worry about the risks until the chance is gone. And the times I've taken a chance can really hurt, eh? Here I learned that it hurt more to miss those chances and get stuck wondering. Ace is always telling me to braver, to get stronger, and that encourages me a lot to be more like him. If your loved ones were here, are there chances they would tell you to take? Or do you think they'd remind you of the risks instead? [He's still a nervous wreck, but he's at least steady in his voice and more convicted in his decisions.]

To the Straw Hat crew, and those close to her, tomorrow's a special day for Robin, so I'd like to take her out just the two of us. Don't come looking, but I'll bring my journal if you need us.

[The message comes as a surprise, moreso when it feels like it had only been a week ago when he'd last met her and they had spoken of handgun training over a plate of food she had prepared for Christmas. This marks the first of many surprises for as long as he remains in Luceti.]

We lost a good person today. [He remarks solemnly, levelly, pausing in thought.] But the most important thing is that she's back to where she should be, doing what she has to do to keep her world safe.

[A beat.]

I'll be coming around to pick up her letter. Where can I find you?

We did indeed.

I'm on the roof of her apartment building if you know where that is. Otherwise I'll be at the Seventh Heaven in an hour and I could see you then, eh.

Rooftop it is. [He answers, his tone business-like and even.] I'll be seeing you soon.

[With nothing further to add, he sees it fit to end the conversation there by softly shutting his journal and sit himself up, preparing to set out. In the interests of letting his body heal, he'll have to travel on foot as opposed to swinging from tree to tree to get there - a minor inconvenience.]

[Marco's chilling up on the ledge looking out over Luceti and mentally calling himself an idiot and few other things. He looks up at the sound and rises to his feet.]

Spencer, right? [Hands him the letter.]

[He accepts it, glancing down thoughtfully at her handwriting before carefully tucking the letter into his jacket.]

...Thanks.

[A beat passes in awkward silence on his part. Then, lowly:]

You gonna be alright? [Maybe it's not his business but it doesn't hurt to ask, if just to be polite.]

What? Oh... ah... Aye.

I'm just thinking. [Rubs the back of his neck.] You'll be okay too, right?

...Yeah. We weren't very close, but... I knew her well enough to get the sense that she had a good character. She was someone you could trust to watch your back.

Aye.

It's funny, eh? I don't feel like I learnt anything about fighting, but she was teaching me other things without me realizing it. I guess that's the mark of a good teacher. My Pops was like that too.

[He snorts softly, offering a light, lopsided smile. Maybe he'll inspire people in the same way one day.]

There's one thing you can do now... and that's to go and make her proud.

[Blinks... and nods.]

We had an idea to teach a class or two at the battledome, but we didn't get the chance to iron out all the details. I'm thinking about picking up where we left off.

You should talk to that annoying marine. I don't know if he uses the battledome or not, but he only ever seems to post about teaching lessons or something.

He used to work with Chun-Li on that too.

I'm assuming this 'annoying marine' has a name?

[If he should know it from the clues, then he's an awful detective.]

I avoid the hell out of him. He's roommates with a friend of mine, but [Pauses.] ... it's complicated. I don't think he'll be too hard to find though.

[Smoker. Now that name rings a little bell.]

...Right. [He's not going to touch that personal business with a ten foot pole; it's not his concern.]

Good luck. If he's anything like the rest of the marines from my world, I'm sure he's up to the task of training anyway. If slightly psychotic about it.

[A brow lifts just slightly from under the tinted lens of his shades. If Smoker seems like he might be too intense and demanding for a course aiming to introduce beginners to firearm use, Spencer figures he could always find someone else -- or work alone. But that's thinking ahead.]

We'll see how it goes.

[He'll reserve judgment until they've spoken.]

[No worries. Marco's only familiar with higher ranking marines than Smoker, like Garp, Sengoku, and the three admirals. Smoker is actually quite different from them, though Marco a) doesn't know, and b) doesn't care. He's not a marine fan.]
