[All right, this is not easy. Marco's a nervous wreck, so he goes pacing, and to find Chun-Li... who isn't home. After a few calls to her journal and looking around, he realizes she's gone home. Again. He greets the morning up on the roof of CH3, smokes a cigarette, and with the Whitebeard flag flying behind him, that's where he is when he makes a post.]

For those who knew her, Chun-Li's gone home. Luceti's lost a great teacher, but I know back in Hong Kong she'll teach kids how to fight and help police up her world. Say a prayer, light a candle, toll a bell, whatever your tradition is.

I have letters from her for Tenten, Spencer, Punzy, Lupin, and Robin. And one for the marine if you could take that to him Ikki?

For the rest of Luceti, I guess I have a question for you, though I guess I should explain with a story first. The first time Chun-Li left, it made me a lot braver. I realized I couldn't take my time for things I wanted. Here, and in my world, everything is fleeting. I'm the type who's not great at taking chances. My Pops and my brothers are great at it. But I always worry about the risks until the chance is gone. And the times I've taken a chance can really hurt, eh? Here I learned that it hurt more to miss those chances and get stuck wondering. Ace is always telling me to braver, to get stronger, and that encourages me a lot to be more like him. If your loved ones were here, are there chances they would tell you to take? Or do you think they'd remind you of the risks instead? [He's still a nervous wreck, but he's at least steady in his voice and more convicted in his decisions.]

Whitebeard, right? Can't say that I've heard much about him.

He was the strongest man in the world and even his enemies respected that. But he didn't use that power or strength just for himself, he protected dozens of islands and adopted thousands of us as his sons and daughters, no matter how much the rest of the world hated us, no matter how screwed up we were when he first found us.

Heh. I'm starting to see why the Grand Line is so screwy. He sounds like one helluva man, and a great guy to meet.

He was just really accepting of everyone, eh. That's how we wound up with the biggest strongest crew in the world. It didn't matter what anyone was or where we came from, he took us in just the same. He had a way of figuring people out that I think Chun-Li has a little too. But it's not something I get myself, eh?

It's a talent that we're not all lucky enough to get. Though...damn. I'm not one for organizations, but I'd probably follow him myself if it worked right.

The reason I issued that challenge here was because back home, every pissant pirate who can't do anything on his own strength thinks they can power up their own name by bringing other's legacies down.

It was the challenge that tempted me, not the fame. I don't need it.

But...I never thought of it as power. It's a game, and the world is boring without something to liven things up.

If she gets along with Robin, she must be nothing short of brilliant, and about as far from the law as anyone can get.

A game, eh? [Snorts softly. He does that too. Chess references in the middle of war, playfully deadpanning even up against lethal foes. But when it came to losing the islands, to losing nakama's lives? Too much was at stake.]

What's your view on revenge?

There aren't many active samurai left in my world. Their hey-day was over a hundred years ago. And your right about my Fujiko-chan. She's a wild lady~

But yeah, it's totally a game. There's nothing much more fun than breaking everyone's rules. [Or taunting people when they got in his way. Or cheerfully having a gunfight with his friends.]

As for revenge? That's tricky...my only policy is that I don't like people who mess with my friends, and I'm not shy about letting anyone know.

I see, we still have a few from Wano Island, but they don't leave that often.
