Ace and Sabo are gone // Written, Action
[The first few times Marco tries to find his voice, he can't. This is what Robin, what everyone tried to warn him about isn't it? And he didn't listen. He always refused. Even if his father had been here and told him the same things, he wouldn't have listened to him either. At first he tries to seek solace in the rooftop, the memorial for his Pops, but today, not even that is enough. Where can he go other than "home?" And home is no longer CH3. It is still Luceti, scattered throughout his loved ones, but other than Leanne, that describe CH3 now.]
[He opens the journal and tries to speak, but he can't. So he winds up writing instead.]
Happy Post-Valentine's Day to anyone. I hope many happy couples found each other and no one was too disrupted.
[His hand shakes, and then clenches and the pen breaks. Too angry, so much rage. He uses the bottom half of the quill as best as he can to write more.]
My little brothers, [A long pause. He looks up at the flag and... it's not enough. Nothing is.] are both gone. Even knowing that every single day they had here was extra time, and as grateful as I am for that, they deserve more. I can't tell you they've gone to a better place, because they haven't.
[The last thing Sabo saw before his death was fire. And Ace died crying and smiling at the same time.]
But they're in good company I guess.
[Good company? He was jealous of them, still, even now. He had a huge fight with Ace about it, but he was jealous. Ace was jealous that Marco could be with the living, and Marco was jealous that Ace could be with the dead, could protect someone he loved that deeply by dying for them, something Marco never could. It was a dumb thing to be jealous about, but even knowing how infantile it was, didn't make it go away. It's a good time to go get a new pen. So Marco jumps down and goes to the item shop, finds a pen and right there, in middle of the shop, sits down on the floor and continues.]
I've lost a lot of nakama before, but Ace's affected me the worst. He brought with him a new era. He saved the man who will be the New Pirate King and renounced the world's idea of villains and heroes. [Marco sets the book and pen down so he won't break them again and it's all bit before he picks them back up.] In legends, phoenixes are supposed to herald the changing of eras, but I hate it. Mankind's eras in my world are tragically majestic things, but what use are they to an individual?
I'm not going back to the apartment for a long time. And I might move when I'm ready. I took the important things with me, but I'm not going back there.
Luceti is still my home. Make no mistake, I'll fight forever for my right to stay and the right for anyone else who wants to stay. I always will. That's who I am.
[He needs to talk to people, to try to comfort them in the wake of Ace's absence, in the wake of Sabo's, but all Marco wants to do is fly away. It's too cowardly though, so he won't. He wants to switch into phoenix form and stop feeling anything, but that's also cowardly and he know Robin's been trying to break him of the habit.]
If you think you can find me, you can try, otherwise, say the word and I'll come find you. No promises about the state I'll be in.

"Arr matey," would simply be a dual aggressive way of addressing someone, even generically, while still saying you don't meant them any harm unless they start a fight and then you'll kick their asses. Matey can just refer to someone who is an acquaintance or a casual friend, or to let someone know you are trying to be friendly, despite being a violent pirate.
I prefer sake over rum because I prefer rice over molasses. It's just a taste preference. Plus, rum is generally a heavier drink, but sake can be drunk in larger quantities. And not just pirates like rum, I know quite a few marines like it too.
I don't know whether we are different types of pirates or not. All pirates a little different, just as all people are different, but our commonalities are usually a thirst for freedom, adventure, and simply to be allowed to enjoy life to its fullest. Also we tend to be willing to be violent. A pirate who doesn't fight to protect his treasure is a dead pirate.
We don't have a parrot, but I am a phoenix. That is a large type of fiery bird that regenerates if you are familiar with the mythology surrounding it. I usually prefer fruit, but I've been known to eat crackers out of people's hands for a good laugh now and then.
Do you have nakama of your own? If not, you may just need to find them. Everyone can have nakama someday, but finding them is a very large struggle and an adventure all on its own. My Pops found and adopted me and my brothers, and that is how I got my nakama, but it took a very long time before then.
Aye, Ace and Sabo are dead in my world. Their time here was more time than they had back in our world, so it is [He pauses, crying a little finally.] very painful. And as a phoenix, I'm not used to a lot of pain. But I'm glad they had any extra time here at all, I just wish it was longer, or maybe better. You are right though, I will never forget them. Here, or in my world.
It is still wonderful you got your first kiss and by someone you like! Do not worry about it being complicated though. Curse or not, it made you both brave enough to take that chance, aye? What would the be the harm in finding out what more it could lead to?Sometimes, we lose people, but if we never risk finding them in the first place, then we have already lost ourselves. My father taught me that.
To be honest, I'm not sure where Roger got his name. I always thought it was more cute that his first mate was called Silvers Rayleigh. Like Gold and Silver.
Luffy will be the new king of the pirates, I hope, someday. But I doubt he'll wear a crown. He has a straw hat he got from Shanks, who got it from someone else. That is on his jolly roger flag, so perhaps that counts as a crown.
I would like it if Ace returned again. He has already left and come back over seven times I am told, which is very unnerving. I don't know if anyone else has come and left that many times.
Questions are good! They show a keen mind and a desire to learn. If you have more questions, I'll try to answer them, they're helping to distract me, and they remind me of Sabo. He was very smart, and he loved stories.

Like some pirates prefer rum, others prefer sake. How do you pronounce sake? Like in 'for god's sake'? Are you also familiar with the phrase 'buggery'? Soldiers from the British army tend to use that word a lot. I shall refer you to Major Sharpe for further inquirements about this.
My own nakamas? Aye, I think I do have nakamas. I have a vast amount of nakamas. Leah and Saori are my best nakamas. But I refer to them as my b.f.f.'s. And Billy of New York is my nakama, as well as Clint Barton.
The Malnosso rule over life and death, Sabo and Ace might just return some day so you will be able to spend more time with them. Just like Nami San returns and disappears and returns again. She is a master of dimensions, apparently. I wish to know Nami San's secret, if she returns I might ask.
I am right quite often.
If she hasn't been influenced by the curse, she would never have done so. The harm would probably lie in the great pummeling that I will receive when I speak to her again. But I hardly see her around, thus I am not going to receive a pummeling for now. The parts of me that can be pummeled are quite pleased with this.[Actually, he just has no clue how to deal with this. He just wants Leah to kick down his door, give him a pummeling he'd never forget so they can just move on like they always did. That would be the easiest. Yet again, nothing in Loki's rather short existence has been easy.]
I presume that such a sentiment implies that one should seek out their loved ones wherever they are. Even if they're lost. Because not finding them will bring great pain to your own heart. Things like that. Yes?
That is a clever pun. I am sure a Copper has been involved as well.
So the crown is a straw hat? And that is placed on the flag? So when a pirate sails with a flag depicting a straw hat he might be the king. I shall keep this in mind when I meet a pirate. And the Land of Luceti has a lot of pirates. I wonder how they all ended up here. There are so many pirates and hardly any ninjas. According to Midgardian beliefs that would mean the pirates have won an epic, ungoing battle.
I am quite curious and I like asking questions more than I like to answer them. :-)

Sake doesn't rhyme with snake. It's more like Sock - Kay. Not completely though. Sah-kay would be better. I've actually never heard of anyone using "buggery" in a sentence before, it sounds silly. Though it does remind me of Captain Buggy who is probably even more silly. Nonetheless, I'd prefer not to use terms that are generally associated with any navy or marines, as I don't get along with them. Part of that piracy thing.
Saori is also a friend of mine, so I am glad you two are close.
Perhaps Sabo and Ace will, but I'll try not to get my hopes up just in case they do not.
What if she doesn't want to hurt you? What if she enjoyed it just as much as you did? Also, you shouldn't hide from her forever. If you are friends, you must face your beating like a strong person. It shows that you accept the consequences for the actions, but that you also have no regrets.
I might be the wrong person to ask about this, however, my fiance calls me a masochist, after all.
Aye, that is exactly what the sentiment entails.
Maybe, but Copperbeard isn't that interesting. [There is no Copperbeard (that we know of yet) but he couldn't resist.]
Actually there was a ninja vs. pirate dodgeball tournament. I think we actually have an equal number of ninjas to pirates here, maybe even more ninjas than pirates, but of course, the ninjas are sneaky and well hidden. If you ask Dr. Law he might show you a few tricks on how to find some of them, he has a knack for it.
Feel free to ask all the questions you want and I'll try to answer them if I know how. And if I don't, I'll simply make stuff up.
