Marco is JUST as protective as Thatch of his brothers (maybe more? they switch off and on via "whose turn is it" basically) so he understands Thatch's aggression especially because Ace is an idiot who'd give all his blood without thinking twice.

And Marco is still annoyed that Natsuno won't drink more of his blood. Like. Hello. IS IT NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?! WHAT THE HELL MAN!? Then again, given his phobia of Luffy eating him, Marco refuses to ever EVER bring this up to anyone because... wow. No. So much no.

But he appreciates that Natsuno is giving it his all. Marco has a general attitude problem with people who are like "But I never wanted to be a pirate!" because again, WHAT IS IT NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?! etc. Like, he's been pirating longer than you lot (mostly) have been alive! GO TO HELL YOU LOSER ROOKIES YOU KNOW NOTHING!!!! D:< but he appreciates that Natsuno is giving it his all and doing his best to adapt and deal with the world around him and be strong enough to help Ace. And that speaks HIGHLY in Marco's book.

Marco's no good at teaching how to fight, it's too instinctual for him and very wrapped up in who and what he is, and getting too close to the new kids is not something he's always willing to do (they always die on him: see also: Ace) but he made an exception because Natsuno was so earnest about it. And in general Natsuno is definitely always there, ready and willing to learn whatever he can about piracy and doing his best to help Ace. And loyalty to Ace says the most to Marco more than really anything else.

He doesn't understand Yuuki's desire to refrain from vampirism in general though because, being a phoenix himself, you are what you are. But that sort of thing is better left discussing with Ace and Thatch he thinks. Especially since Marco is very fond of monsters (his father, his family, their allies, Oars Jr. THERE ARE MONSTER FEELS ALL OVER THE WHITEBEARD CREW) and considers it a COMPLIMENT. Which if Natsuno ever talks to Marco one on one about, Marco will probably not pull punches in telling him.
