There are a lot of parallels to be drawn between Lea and Roxas and Marco and Thatch, but the other relationships between the KH cast and Marco and his brothers he wasn't expecting as much.

Lea's the older, more reasonable, deadpan, chillaxed, and generally more "Marco" of the set so he's the easiest for Marco to get along with reflexively. But Marco gets unique insight to Roxas' from being the kid's "pet" bird. And Thatch was the unfortunate bloke who had to teach Marco what being human was like so Marco can definitely correlate relying on that one person the most and heaviest and fearing losing them. Hell, Marco actually broke a little when he lost Thatch. He forcibly put the pieces back together for the sake of his other brothers, but it wasn't easy, and he's still got the fracture lines.

The Roxas and other kids aside though, Lea is the most adult of them and the easiest to talk to and yet still enough like a kid that he reminds Marco of Ace and the other brats his Pops adopted which makes him a relaxing influence. Whether he wants it or not, Lea has a good potential to work his way into Marco's closer circle of friends, especially given how reliable he is in looking after everyone else.

Edit: I FEEL LIKE I AM ALWAYS ON THE VERGE OF THE RIGHT SONG FOR LEA but then I can't grab it. So as soon as I find it I am gonna rush back to this and add it >:|
