Marco is trying so hard not to full on fanboy the fact that he has a Crow King BFF now but fuck it, he'll do what he wants, does anyone ELSE have a Crow King bff? NOPE so Marco wins :T

But maturely, he knows not to overwhelm Naesala. Marco knows birds if not people. Or birdpeople.... + It helps that Naesala is legitimately cool and chillaxed himself so Marco remembers to calm the fuck down. He still has a BILLION AND ONE bird questions and family questions and holy shit what is it like to actually have a whole tribe/family/flock/nation of bird people questions, but he has enough sense to realize that there's probably something touchy there and it should wait for better times.

ALSO Naesala is already of bro status whether Naesala wants it or not because he engaged in pranking Ace with Marco and that was fun. Marco really wanted to show that it was okay to treat Ace like Ace, not just a formal captain requiring courtroom diplomacy which would have made Ace and Naesala more awkward and further separated Naesala and Leanne from the rest of the crew, so Marco feels pretty good about getting everyone to be on a good "US" & crew & nakama state. Especially since Leanne is also running around pranking people and Marco has a good feeling that both Naesala and Leanne never got to see beorcs in that kind of light before.

Marco himself had Whitebeard, Thatch, and the entire Whitebeard army to show him that people can be okay, but he definitely knows how it can take a lot. So he also intends to nudge Namur in Naesala's direction at some point depending on how much Naesala loosens up since Namur is well. A shark. Who likes to rampage and can sometimes take some getting used to >>;

But yes, his goals are already starting to be accomplished. Getting Naesala to see Ace less in a formal capacity and more genuinely friendly, and befriending him for his own sake because Birdie friends. Marco wants all the bird friends okay.

He also really appreciates how protective Naesala is of Leanne. Marco himself is pretty damn protective of the heron, so he was worried that there could be a clash over misconstrued intentions or the fact that Marco is kind of... overprotective most of the time, so he was hugely relieved that Naesala appreciated it and sort of encouraged it / backed Marco up on it. It bodes well for the future :T

If he had the spare time he would draw romantic T-rated doujinshi of the pair and make a dramatic play and maybe a musical of it. I am so serious. He's that embarrassing. He really really really really REALLY ships them. And will hiss at anyone who gets in the way of his pairing. Not literally hiss, but definitely give dirty looks and make them feel awkward as fuck.

And/or dye their hair white like with Ace. WHATEVER WORKS.

Oh oh and he was super super duper happy/touched/pleased that Naesala invited him to go flying ;~; No one's ever invited him to go flying before!!! He had to play it cool of course and not swoon like a little schoolgirl like he did in his head, but usually Marco has to invite OTHERS to go flying. And that in itself is a big deal because he has to carry them, and as such, then have the rare capacity to actually kill him (which is pretty difficult otherwise) so it's a whole big trust issue. BASICALLY Naesala was the first person to invite him flying and he totally has a manly bird-man bro-crush feels on him for it.
