[There's a very fuzzy/out of view image of a slightly annoyed looking pineapple-headed guy staring a little suspiciously at his communicator.]

I swear if you're supposed to be some sort of self-suicide method, I'm going to find a way to kick this building down. [The camera tilts all over and then zooms in as the guy figures out it's recording or doing something.] Oh? Like a mechanical den den mushi then? Handy. All right, if there's someone helpful on this network, I could use a little information, starting with where in the New World this is. Or which ocean even. And if there's any WB allies out there, I need to get in touch with Joz or Vista so one of them can take over until this mess gets sorted out.

So these scientists are more like pirates that work outside of the government and get raided and cut and run?

Got it. So how come you've got your fire? Not that I'm unappreciative, eh. [Cheerfully grabs a seat to ride along.]

Pirates? Aside from stealing people and stuff from other worlds, nah, they don't get out enough to be pirates. No sense of adventure either. They're cowards.

I got my chip out a while back. {And kicking up the flames to tear off down the street back to Marshall, hand firmly on his hat to keep it on his head.}

Where do they put it? I can't feel it or anything, though you'd think it'd be draining, eh.

[Trying to keep his balance and holding on carefully.]

Just about anywhere, they move the location on new arrivals sometimes so the docs gotto find it all over again. It's a real pain in the ass. Thing is super tiny so you won't feel it. And guess it's different for you but... when I had mine in it was like I was missing a huge part of myself.

{It really wouldn't take them long to get there, the skiff moved pretty damn fast on land.}

I can't turn into a phoenix, I feel like half of me is locked off. So yeah, I think I know what you mean.

How do you get it out?

Chopper can remove it for you. {A grin over his shoulder at you. He slides on up to the Marshall apartment building and slows to a halt, hopping off.}

Here we are, home sweet home.

Yeah, I talked to him a little on this thing. [Waves the communicator.]

You guys took over the whole building??

{He chuckled at that.} Nah. Too much responsibility. We'd have to put up with the complaints. {A joke of course, cause the way he said it made it almost sound like they were the landlords. If they had taken over the building they wouldn't have to put up with anything.}

C'mon I'll show you the apartment. {With that he disappeared inside to lead Marco to 114 and 115, which Ace had forcibly connected by destroying a wall. It wasn't the most perfect merger either. What was left of the wall was still scorched in some places.}

[Follows along cheerfully and arches an eyebrow at the destroyed wall, but looks thoroughly amused at least.]

And I see you expanded. No complaints about that? Or was it an accident? [Ace is a wildfire after all and sometimes it's really hard to tell.]

{His shoulders and back tensed a bit at the 'accident' comment. He scratched the back of his head sheepishly.} I uh... kinda lost my cool and did some redecorating. But! We did need the extra space. It's kinda crowded with all of us living here.

{He hoped up to sit on his barrel of rum, grinning ear to ear. Pops' coat was hung over the back of the couch. He patted the barrel.} We can introduce you proper. {As in drink with Luffy and the others till they were hammered.}

[Laughs softly and then stills as he sees the jacket, only half taking in Ace's words.] Yeah, it'd be nice to meet him while not dodging an admiral here or there.

Where -- when, how did you get this? [Clearly distracted and focused seriously on the jacket.]
