[Has Marco ever seen Japan groveling in thanks? To repay the debt? Seifer hates it. There have been times Japan's all, but cried because he felt he couldn't repay Seifer in kind. That lack of self worth... Seifer doesn't want to be the cause of any more of that.

Maybe for Marco it's as easy as being there, but for Seifer it always seems to make things worse. ...Idk if he'd say this though lmfao it'd pretty much kill him to admit how Japan acts when they're alone all the time sometimes >>;]

Then don't. Carve your own path and let him do the same. You don't have to walk away and never look back in order for him to get stronger or keep taking the lead. You do it side by side.

You want him to stand for himself? Then go be proud of him for doing his best and getting better. So long as he has to keep watching your back as you try to show him the way, he'll think that's how it's supposed to be. Give him a nudge from behind then.
