Naturally I do not condone his behavior about this sort of thing, so I will try my best. But surely violence does not solve violence. ...And I do not ask that Marco become his friend, but at least to accept that I will be.

History isn't enough. The vampires here have done nothing to him. I don't trust law enforcement for all the shit they've done in my world and to my family, but I don't take it out on the watch here or anyone who was involved in that in their worlds.

And when did you decide that being something other than human meant they should all be destroyed? I've spent as long as I've known my Pops fighting people who think they have the right to enslave fishmen and mermaids just because they're another species. I don't care how threatened those humans felt, it's not enough. Giants, okama, trolls? They also have the potential for more if you let them. Until you know which way they'll go, backing them into a corner only turns them into a threat.

Hm... We have had shared traditions and values for quite some time, but I suppose... When the Emperor's nephew and I visited. Turkey-san and his Emperor at the time-- ah, he was the Ottoman Empire then-- greeted us. The two of them spoke, and so Turkey-san and I were able to speak as well.
