AAAAACCCEEEE!!!!!

[Hark! It's the roar of an angry phoenix in pirate form.]

MY SHAMPOO?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Oh god it's even in my feathers! MY FEATHERS ACE!!! AHHH WHY'D YOU HAVE TO PICK RED?! Even raven black would have been better! I look like I hero-worship Shanks now! I swear when I find you Ace!

[For anyone getting a good look in the journal, Marco's hair has been badly dyed red, oh yeah and he looks every bit as ticked off as he sounds. Later on however, he'll be sporting a fedora to cover up that Akagami-wannabe look, and looking for hair dye remover. Or bleach. Or as a last resort, black hair dye. Anything's better than red with him. He will also be putting up posters: "Ever want to be a pirate? Join the Whitebeards! Limited time offer" though more on that later. And even more than that, a certain usually very blue bird will have a slightly red and purple tinge to his feathers for a little while. So not pleased. Still, he'll be around to help out any New Feathers or someone needing directions to town. And if anything, he arguably looks more like a traditional phoenix. Not that he wants that.]

[Later on that night when he stops trying to beat Ace to a pulp there will be a second very short post.]

Does anyone have hair dye remover, bleach, or something in black? I couldn't find any in the shop. Thanks, eh.

[Grabs Ace's hands by the wrist and presses him back up against the shower wall. He gives him a long dirty look as though imagining Ace spread out in several positions, smirking to himself all the while... and then goes to the water.]

Nope, changed my mind. Too young after all. [Whistles to himself, quickly rinsing out everything he can before, before Ace decides to tackle or punch him for that.]

[He stays there frozen and blushing for a good long while, and when he finally snaps out of it, he gives Marco a good kick. He's about to walk out when he decides... well, revenge is a Whitebeard pirate thing.

So that is why he ignores that little voice in his head telling him to stop, and instead comes up behind Marco. He knows his ears are his weakness, so for one ear, he places his mouth over it to gently, yet sensually nibble it. The other he rubs between his thumb and forefinger, all the while lowly humming in his ear. Yeah, he's evil.]

[Evil or just plain -- no, he's evil.]

[Marco grunts and leans against the wall a bit, trying to deadpan ignore all this. God help him. He needs to get Ace a girlfriend. There's an idle musing whether or not he could explain about Ace's hot mouth as a good side without explaining a couple of games of gay chicken taken to extreme levels.

He doubts it.

He grabs Ace by the beads, trying to buy some time to figure out his next move. If he just feigns disinterest Ace will only try harder. Maybe he should just let the kid win for once. Of course his pride prickles at that, but anything for a brother. His knees are getting weaker than he's willing to show, a shiver threatening to overtake him and he slides his hand on Ace's cheek again.]

That can't taste too good. Between the soap and dye... [And that was when Marco's knees gave out with a mild swear. So much for playing it cool.]

[Even after Marco went to his knees, Ace kept going, but only for a short while longer. He moves his fingers across Marco's ear a little, rubbing them gently as they move. He gives him a slow lick on his other ear, whispering in his ear.]

Mmm, you taste fine. [But yeah, it's actually really disgusting, and he might start gagging from it at any second. Which is why he stands up and leaves the shower before Marco can do anything.] I win.

[Clenches a fist. For all his mental insistence he'd let it go, let Ace win, that simple declaration changed his mind. ~~So mature.~~ And so butt naked he exits the shower to tackle Ace with kisses.]

[Yeah. Now is a good time to look at his life and examine his choices.]

[He was hoping to be able to leave without anything happening, but... that's wishful thinking. They are two butt naked men making out in a bathroom, and Ace is seriously questioning his sexuality here. He is straight. Why is his brother on top of him and kissing him naked in the bathroom. Because it's just making him too stunned to move. He doesn't even think to rub Marco's ear, he just sits there, letting him kiss him.

Why on earth did he think upping the ante was a good idea? He really needs to think things through more.]

[Yup. That was dumb. Even Marco can tell that was really really REALLY dumb. Ace isn't the one he wants to be kissing anyway so why is he? And Ace is clearly a little bit traumatized. Mission accomplished? What the hell kind of fail big brother is he? Best? No. He's the worst.]

Okay. [Wipes his mouth.] Now you win.

[Perfectly deapdan, but seriously. He needs to draw better lines for himself not to cross.]

Let's agree to never speak of or do this again, eh.

[And then Ace never wanted to do gay chicken ever again. He just sat there, still red as a tomato, and holding a hand over his mouth.]

How in the hell is that winning? [Just. Fuck his life.] We're never doing either of those again. Ever.

[He just holds his head in his hands, frustrated.] We were seriously one step away from fucking.

[Shudders in spite of himself.]

I'm sorry. [It seemed like a thing to say.]

I still wouldn't have gone that far. [No offense Fireworks.]

But aye that was... [Rubs his ears and gets back in the shower.] Something we're never speaking of again. [Nods... and gargles. They had pretty much run out of room to up the ante, hadn't they? HM.]

Yeah, you really shouldn't have. And... I don't think i should have, either. I'm sorry.

[He'll just. Get dressed. And leave.] I'll... go make lunch.

Oi Fireworks!

[Checking to make sure Ace hasn't left yet.]

[He was just about to walk out the door...] What?

[Chuckles quietly, as though amused by a joke he forgot to share.]

Love you brat.

[Time to finish up that shower.]

[His eyes go wide at first, but then he just smiles back.] I love you too, bro.

[Now to make lunch. Which will happen to be a lot of Marco's favorites.]

[Awww cutie. Best annoying little brat brother ever.]

[A happily blond Marco will be very amused by all of this when he gets out of the shower, hugging Ace lightly from behind and ruffling his hair.]

You are really determined to escape payback for the dye aren't you? [Sips his coffee.]

[He turns his head around to face Marco, patting him on the head and grinning.]

Maybe. And... an apology for... that.

Mm-hm.

You've certainly lessened it anyway.

[Which is just as well because Marco's hitting a dry spell on something truly heinously creative.]

Then mission accomplished. [And he hands him a plate of some cucumber, apple slices, and a lovely veggie sandwich.]

Eat up, Marco.

[*u* Best food ever.]

[Did you say something, he's busy eating.] Wha?

Never mind. [Chuckles.]

[After finishing stuffing his face a bit, he... well, starts coughing. Yeah, still a little sick.]

Ah... need water. [Now to get some. Or maybe look for something for his throat.]

[Hands him iced tea.]
