[In a purely deadpan tone Marco switches to showing off a plate of cookies.] Join. We have cookies.

And can anyone tell me about their world's sports? Is Hit & Dead Ball or Dodgeball universal, what about Red and Green Light? If we had a games tournament here, what games would everyone like to see in it? And what kind of rewards?

[Luckily he won't have to crouch too far. Since Marco's currently about the size of a very slim wild turkey with insanely long peacock-like tail feathers (except that they're more like gold rings).]

Everyone seems to like tea here, but alright. [After all, he liked it too. Besides, now he was drinking it with a bird. He still needs to give Marco some bread.]

No matter what type of flavors someone likes, there is a probably a tea variety for that. My brother prefers coffee though, but for different reasons I think.

Pops adopted us. I have no idea who my biological parents are, but they don't really matter to me.

I actually have 1600 brothers or sisters. [Also true.] But Ace is the only one from home here. We have another little brother here, Sabo, but he's not a phoenix or fire.

Your father is a very kind man, to adopt and care for others is a good sign of one's character and their spirit.

[BEAMS. The quickest way to Marco's heart is through how awesome his Pops is.]

He was the best. He didn't just adopt all of us, but he looked after thousands of allies as his own kids, and he protected tons of islands from slavery and everything.

That's why I'm so proud to wear his mark. [Points a wing to the tattoo on his chest.]

Aye. All the countries outlawed slavery, but the World Government looks the other way and the tenryuubito can do whatever they want.

Pops was a ship captain.

He was the strongest man in the world so we had to deal with a lot of people who wanted to kill him to take his place.

Nobility of the world government. Any whim they have is law.

[Glances over his shoulder back at Luce.]

It means descendants of the dragon, but it's for the bloodline of the original 20 founders of the world government. They don't even like to breathe the same air as humans.
