[Early Monday morning Marco is finally returned from his kidnapping. A lot tinier.]

[He wakes up by kicking his book open and there's a teeny tiny baby bluebird phoenix cocking an eye at the pages. Hello Luceti. Finally he decides it's just a blank journal so he hops back and goes to take in his surroundings, and checks the area around the fountain very carefully. Wet. Do not want. Well, he's bored now. Time to fly home.]

[That would work a lot better without this creepy added weight. What the hell! NO! HE CAN'T FLY?! So after several jumps, the hand-sized phoenix jumps about and tries to get air. Which much to his dismay, does nothing. With the added new weight of the fake Luceti wings, he can't fly! Eventually he just gives up and starts flailing.]

Pops! Pops! Pops! [There are a few more baby birdie chirps of this.] Uwah brothers! ANYONE! Where are you guys?!

[Walks around and looks distraught.] I must'a hurt my wings. But that makes no sense... because I'm a phoenix. [Sits back down and sulks for now. Oh, look a stranger! He starts to rush to hide behind the fountain, but well, he's not getting anywhere on his own... so he'll have to try something!]

Excuse me! Have you seen anyone really really tall around? Wait. No. What island is this? I don't remember docking? AH! Have you see Edward Newgate; my Pops around? It's really important, yoi! [At which point... he remembers he's a bird. And realizes nothing he said probably came out in human (it all did because lulz Luceti) so just have a deapan baby birdie stare.]

[Small uncertain pause, but Ace has Pops' tattoo, so he's a brother, so he should just trust his brothers like he told Ace to. ALL RIGHT YOSH! He spreads his arms and instantly switches into wings. And then into a phoenix and back to hybrid.] But how could you help?

[Sabo simply nods in return to Ace's looks and turns to Marco with a smile. Trying to help brothers is what he does best.]

Well, you see, I'm friends with this wind spirit guy called Kipinn. And those friends with him get to borrow his abilities sometimes. That means... [He holds out a palm and there's a sudden puff of wind on Marco's face.] I can control wind to some extent.

And some birds can glide and soar along a breeze, right? It's not the flying you're used to, but it might be close enough. We can try it out, if you want!

[Ace just quietly munches on his food, listening to Sabo and watching him explain all this to Marco. He's calmed down a lot, but it's better to just stay quiet for a while now.]

Ehhh? A wind spirit? But wouldn't it blow me off course? Would it be warm enough? [Also have a few more questions about winds and currents and flying and how that would work.]

Uh... Yup, a wind spirit. And I guess it depends on the weather if the wind's warm or cold. [Wait what was that other question? Blowing off course? Sabo frowns, thinking. Oh man, this idea seemed a lot simpler in his head. Okay, how to explain this...]

Well, unless it's a really windy day, there's not much danger of being blown off course. The wind'll just be there to catch your weight and you can spread your wings and ride on the air current without flapping your wings much. I noticed gulls do that a lot, so I thought you'd want to try that way.

We'll tie you to a tree so you don't go flying off anywhere. [Purely joking, but he couldn't resist.]
