fierybluebird | [Action / Accidental Video] In which baby phoenixes flail a lot

[Early Monday morning Marco is finally returned from his kidnapping. A lot tinier.]

[He wakes up by kicking his book open and there's a teeny tiny baby bluebird phoenix cocking an eye at the pages. Hello Luceti. Finally he decides it's just a blank journal so he hops back and goes to take in his surroundings, and checks the area around the fountain very carefully. Wet. Do not want. Well, he's bored now. Time to fly home.]

[That would work a lot better without this creepy added weight. What the hell! NO! HE CAN'T FLY?! So after several jumps, the hand-sized phoenix jumps about and tries to get air. Which much to his dismay, does nothing. With the added new weight of the fake Luceti wings, he can't fly! Eventually he just gives up and starts flailing.]

Pops! Pops! Pops! [There are a few more baby birdie chirps of this.] Uwah brothers! ANYONE! Where are you guys?!

[Walks around and looks distraught.] I must'a hurt my wings. But that makes no sense... because I'm a phoenix. [Sits back down and sulks for now. Oh, look a stranger! He starts to rush to hide behind the fountain, but well, he's not getting anywhere on his own... so he'll have to try something!]

Excuse me! Have you seen anyone really really tall around? Wait. No. What island is this? I don't remember docking? AH! Have you see Edward Newgate; my Pops around? It's really important, yoi! [At which point... he remembers he's a bird. And realizes nothing he said probably came out in human (it all did because lulz Luceti) so just have a deapan baby birdie stare.]

I don't think I've got a favorite, but an ex-pirate who sailed with the Baratie for a few years loved singing that song. I just picked it up.

[That movie has one of the best soundtracks. Also forever proof that Tim Curry makes an awesome pirate. And tranny. Ergo Ivankov is win? Idk. Moving...]

All the way back in East Blue. [He pauses in-step, unsure how to handle that second question] And hell if I know.

[Speaking quickly before Marco launches into another round of 20 questions, Sanji waves in the direction of the fridge] Oi, what kind of sandwich do you want?

Fish! And French fries!

I'm not picky as long as it's good.

[That all sounds so embarrassingly simple, and so Sanji pauses again. Holy shit, when's the last time he made a peanut butter sandwich?]

... Right. [He speaks slowly, more to himself than to Marco] I can do that.

[Go big Sanji. Marco's just trying to be simple to be polite since Whitebeard can't cook that much. His tastes are actually fancier, but secretly polite.]

What's your favorite thing to cook?

I don't have a favorite. [His response is immediate, chin in his hand as he thinks] I just like to cook.

[Laughs.] I guess it's like trying to pick the best thing about flying, huh?

Okay what's your favorite thing to eat?

[Now there's a question he can answer, and Sanji grins]

Spicy seafood pasta! Ever tried it before? [Because if not, GUESS WHAT YOU'RE EATING.]

Nope! Is it really good?

[Feed him Sanji. Feed him delicious things *_*]

It's delicious! I've actually got a batch in the fridge. [Freshly made, too, since it tends to be one of the more popular dishes. And the upside is Sanji can snag a bowl for himself >>]

Really? May I try some, if it's not too much trouble?

Of course. Help yourself to as much as you want. [He grabs a bowl and a fork, placing them on the counter before he fetches the pasta out of the fridge. Compared to his other dishes, it's not nearly as fancy - but then, that might be one of the reasons Sanji likes it as much as he does.

He spoons out a healthy amount into the bowl before looking at Marco expectantly]

[Pounces the food, happily eating away, finally quiet for a bit.] AH! This is really good, yoi!

[Ha, there will be time for modesty later. Right now Sanji is going to track down a bowl-full for himself ~~and enjoy the quiet~~. He didn't realize how hungry he was]

Heh, in shitty theory. But the truth is I don't always, especially when my captain's at the table.
