Yo. I'm back. Longest month of my life, including that time I dyed my hair black.

Did anyone remember to water and feed Ace while I was gone? Take him for walks and make sure he got sun and all that?

[There's a pause and the fluttering of wings along with a mutter.] Damn this new book system is strange... [But he speaks back up again trying to sound more chipper.]

So what did I miss? Did the entire landscape change? Any new books about pirates at the library, eh?

[For those who know him well, Marco actually sounds pretty exhausted for a change, and lacking some of his usual ridiculousness.]

Well, you can probably imagine since you missed Valentine's Day of all days, right? It's only natural the Malnosso would take that opportunity to cause general mayhem.

And no, the whole experiment didn't screw me up in that sense, at least, so I guess I have to be glad at least in that way. My family members got messed with, though.

Yeah, it's not like I completely regret it. It's just that I never would have done something like that that easily without the experiment having some weird sort of influence on me.

Aye. He has a little brother he's closest with here -- they grew up together and I only met Ace four years ago -- but we're still brothers.

It's not always about blood, after all, so yeah, you guys might as well be like brothers. [ She thought up until recently that her older brother was only her half-brother too, after all. ]

It's good you guys at least got to be here together then.

It's not about blood at all. [Their father is their pirate captain >> And Luffy and Ace aren't biologically brothers either. So it's 100% about adoption. But good luck getting Marco to ever think blood is different.]
