Humans draw blood to check for diseases. Fuck, how do I explain this?

I'm less worried because humans in my world believe fishman blood is tainted. It's actually the same, same goes for giants, but they don't allow transfusions, because they don't allow the blood to mix. Pops' nurses have to take my blood every so often because I regenerate so fast that it can be used to save my brothers. I don't think that is what these guys are doing, and I'm not going to leave you there to find out, but it sounds like they're just testing it, eh.

In my world only friends would draw blood -- or at least someone who wants to keep you safe. Marines and other pirates would just leave you to bleed out, not try to collect it.
